Coat Tabletops with Casting Resin
To coat a table with casting resin, you first should mask any surfaces not to be coated. Then, you cast a thin layer of resin to the surface to be coated. Once that layer has cured, you can apply additional layers in the desired thickness. The layer thickness depends on the resin kit you use. For our products they range from 0.1-1cm (EPODEX ECO), to 0.1-2cm (EPODEX PRO), and 0.1-5cm (EPODEX PRO+).
After the casting resin has cured completely, you can sand and polish it until it reaches the desired finish. Optionally, you can add a final layer of polyurethane resin to enhance the gloss level or to create a matte effect and to make the surface more scratch-resistant and resistant to chemical cleaners and alcohols.
