Instructions for use
Primer
- Always start with our SEALER & PRIMER epoxy resin primer. This primer is included in the scope of delivery.
- Shake the resin A-component thoroughly before use and mix the resein A-component with the hardener B-component in a mixing ratio of 1:1 (e.g. 1kg resin: 1kg hardener). Mix the supplied colour paste RAL 7035 light grey or RAL 9003 signal white. It is possible to add min. 30% to max. 40% water to the resin-hardener mixture to dilute the material (this is recommended for large surfaces and/or elevated temperatures).
- Stir through the edge and bottom of the mixing cup as material will settle there.
- Pour the resin-hardener mixture onto the surface to be coated or into a paint tray immediately after mixing, as the mixture will thicken in mixing cup.
- Roll the material thinly onto the desired surface with a foam roller. We recommend a layer thickness of approx. 0.2mm.
- Let the primer dry and cure for approx. 20h. Continue with the main coating.
Main coating
- Use our ECO or PRO system for the main coating.
- Mix the resin A-component with the hardener B-component in a mixing ratio of 2:1 (e.g. 2kg resin: 1kg hardener). Add 1% of the supplied RAL 6037 Pure green colour paste to the resin-hardener mixture.
- Stir through the edge and bottom of the mixing cup as material will settle there. Ideally, pour into a clean mixing cup and mix again. This ensures that the resin A-component and hardener B-component are completely mixed together.
- Pour the resin-hardener mixture onto the surface to be coated immediately after mixing, as the product may boil in the mixing cup depending on the system and the amount of substance.
- Apply the material with a squeegee and foam roller and let it flood over the desired surface. We recommend a layer thickness of 1.5mm.
- The main coating can be walked on/touched after approx. 24h and is chemically fully cured after approx. 7days. You can find more detailed information in our information table under the info button “Learn more” on this page.
Info: Epoxy resin is sensitive to any kind of moisture during curing (risk of carbamate formation, i.e. white patches in the top layer). For this reason, we recommend that you avoid any contact between water and the epoxy until it has cured completely (at least 7 days). For thin layers, cold temperatures (ambient, substrate, and resin temperatures below 20°C) and increased humidity, the time until the epoxy resin is fully cured may be extended.
Consumption volumes
